Code of Conduct
It takes a village to run a summer swim team! Our program thrives on incredible team spirit, long days at the pool, and the dedication of swimmers, coaches, and families working together. To keep our community positive and respectful, we follow the Boulder Valley Summer Swim League (BVSSL) Code of Conduct and enforce these expectations for everyone involved.
Parent Code of Conduct
Parents play a vital role in creating a supportive environment. BVSSL’s Parent Code of Conduct includes:
- Display good sportsmanship and respect toward coaches, officials, swimmers, and other parents.
- Encourage your child positively—avoid sideline coaching or criticism.
- Refrain from foul language or negative behavior at practices and meets.
- Respect facilities and property at all swim venues.
- Follow BVSSL’s complaint process: wait 24 hours before contacting a coach or board member.
- No alcohol, drugs, or contraband at team events.
